Hey Valerie!

Fantastic, fantastic post! Thank You for sharing your thoughts. I've actually learned a lot from your blog, and I tried to leave a comment several days ago but it wouldn't go through for some reason. Anyway, I never got a chance to thank you also for visiting my blog as well.

Looking forward to your future posts.

Warmest regards,

Renee.

Hi Val,

I LOVE this post!! I loved how you mentioned faking it 'til you make it. I totally agree, every since we were born out the womb everything we've done has been something that we've seen someone else do. As infants we mock the habits of those around us. Once we've developed the confidence to decipher that that's who we are is the moment it has become the real us.

I love the point you're making here, and it's so true. Light doesn't exist without darkness. Truth doesn't exist without lies. Plagiarism doesn't exist without the exact opposite.

Thanks for sharing , Keep up the great work!!

People have a necessity to lie to themselves to fit in with the demands and standards of society.

Everyone wants to break out of the matrix and be free, but they can't because they have to SETTLE for less. Settling for anything means your not getting what you want but only a part of what you want.

If I understand the rather blurry post, you don't need to lie just break free of any expectation demand and standards and create your own.

I think the problem with probing anything to yourself is that you'll still lie to yourself.

I read two things in places I can't remember that I think apply here:
1) "Act the way you want to be, and soon you'll be the way you act."
2) "At the end of every day, you should take a moment to seperate what you heard and believed from what you really think."

I really liked this post. It was what I needed to read this morn.

I think I get this post... What I interpreted from it is that all our thoughts could be a lie. What people tell us is "right" could really be wrong. When people tell us that "this way is successful," it can actually be a road to failure. Our beliefs can actually be wishful thinking. I feel like I'm the same way too. Sometimes I lie to myself over and over again until the lie seems true to me (like at the end of your post), or at the very least, close to the truth. This was an interesting read. Thanks for sharing this Valerie.
