My heart is smiling today

by Valerie M

This viral wedding video reminded me of all that’s good and light in the world. It reminded me that life is a gift and I have no reason to be anything less than happy for being alive. My heart smiled so hard and I felt so at peace. And it’s hard to see why not.

Viral Wedding Dance at YouTube

This was posted on YouTube four days ago, already has well over a million views and also got air time on Good Morning America (and who knows where else). The feeling and the love in this video are what everyone yearns for, which explains it’s magnetic appeal. And yet we bury ourselves in so much negativity, get caught up in so much unnecessary crap, that we forget to live for today and to live for love. It’s great to see that amidst all the economic troubles, the fight over healthcare, the strained international relations, and the conspicuous consumption, people still find time to celebrate life and love. No matter what the media, society, your religious leaders, or anyone else would have you believe, the world is NOT falling apart.

This is the kind of thing I live for and this is the reason why I even bothered to start this blog. I want to reach out to people and I want to be an oasis for others and myself. I want to be the best I can be and give the best of myself to others. There comes a time in your life where you get fed up with mediocrity and superficiality that you reach a breaking point and begin to blossom like a flower.

What do you live for? Where is your breaking point?

I really liked this post – and that was an awesome video. I would say I live to see exactly what I am made of and just how far I can go in this thing called life. I live for the thrill of connecting with like minded individuals and providing whatever assistance I can in their journey through life.
